Unseen Light traces the inspiration behind three years of paintings made against a global backdrop of wildfires, pandemic, and a resurgent struggle for territory, resources, and power. Rather than descending into despair, the work returns to a world without people: a heliocentric view where nature and the cosmos take centre stage, reminding us what our most precious priorities are. Through a process of reworking surfaces in gold, silver, and pearl-white, the paintings search for a sense of harmony within the fragments. A quiet act of putting the world back together, guided by a light that is often not easily seen.
